Legenda: A 66 year-old male, HIV-, HPV 16+, with past history of anal canal condyloma and low-grade
dysplasia was submitted to high resolution anoscopy (HRA). The picture 1 shows a 15 mm warty
lesion with a depression and irregular borders. After application of 5% acetic acid the lesion turned
acetowhite and did not take Lugol´s solution. Biopsies of the lesion confirmed high –grade squamous
intraepithelial lesion (HSIL), p16 +. Treatment with argon plasma was performed in the same
procedure (picture 2).
